Babblebrook

Babblebrook is - loosely! - based on the village where I grew up. A small place with a big heart where no one locked their door, cows peered over hedgerows into gardens, and everyone joined in with festive village events such as the Christmas tree decorating, bring-and-share meal and somewhat chaotic nativity services!

I will share pictures of the village that inspired Babblebrook here, some snippets of stories - seasonal titbits and 'deleted scenes' from the book - and also my very rough map of the village, where you can see Marnie's cottage, the bakery and the village green. I hope you enjoy them!

Map

I am no cartographer, as you will see from my attempt at a map of Babblebrook below! The first is my VERY rough working version, which I 'drew' (I am no artist, either!) as I was writing the book to help visualise where everything in Babblebrook is. This evolved into a slightly more presentable version, where you will more easily be able to find where Marnie, Andrew and Pat and Matt live, the bakery, the village green, the postbox that Gloria dusts every week ... and more!

Coming soon - Babblebrook at Halloween, deleted scenes and festive photos!
